A CSA is a way for consumers to buy local, seasonal produce directly from farmers. You sign up for a full or half box of fruits and vegetables, and pick it up at a designated location once a week. It’s a great option for people who love the farmer’s market but can’t get there every week, and it’s an excellent value. Because a CSA enables farmers to save on overhead costs, produce is generally less expensive than what you find at the farmers market.

Muir Ranch’s weekly boxes, or shares, contain produce and flowers grown by the kids, supplemented with fruits and vegetables from other local farmers.

Come hear about this incredible new local food experiment in Pasadena, tour the largest school garden in the San Gabriel Valley, and learn about the co-op’s new partnership with Muir Ranch!

Date: Saturday, September 29th
Time: 10:30 AM
Location: 1905 Lincoln Ave, Pasadena, CA 91103. Please park in the student parking lot off Canada Street. Turn onto Canada Street off Lincoln Avenue, and follow it around the school to the lot entrance on the right.

For more information on Muir Ranch, please visit their website or their Facebook page.
