Checking the scanner @9:45 tonight — Pasadena PD chopper is on its way to Lake & Alta Loma area to assist the sheriffs — there's a lost hiker in the canyon tonight. According to the deputy on the scanner, the hiker phoned it in. Chopper doesn't have night vision equipment, so unsure if it'll be helpful. Search and rescue operation underway. We'll keep monitoring the situation.

Which canyon? Lake & Loma Alta sounds like Rubio, and that’s still pretty rough I hear. I was up in Eaton Canyon about the same time, with a bunch of other people. It’d be pretty hard to get lost in there.
