Tamirfilms is offering an opportunity for a free eight week internship starting in November, 2011. The internship program will target individuals in California with a focus on kids from the East Los Angeles area who are interested in learning about the film making process.
"Silencio," an independent film, will be shot entirely on location in East Los Angeles and Altadena. A large portion of the film’s cast will be comprised of local talent. Silencio’s grassroots approach will be to take young Latinos from East Los Angeles and immerse them into an intense eight week course in film production. This unique course will integrate the local youth with veterans in the entertainment industry and offer an opportunity for young filmmakers to get practical hands-on experience.
Interns will be a vital part of the project and assist in the film’s production. The curriculum will include marketing as it pertains to social media, pre-production, on-set production, and post-production.
