Library insiders tell us that it’s usually book dealers who are lined up and crash through the doors at the 3 PM opening. We suspect it’s true — lots of people with big bags, rolling carts, and even a few handheld devices that were scanning bar codes and ISBN numbers as they picked through the boxes of books. (We sympathize — we used to be a book dealer, too).
Don’t worry — new stuff is added all the time, and children’s books will go onsale tomorrow. Regular hours for the booksale are 9 AM-5:30 PM Sat., and 1-4 PM Sun.
