When we last saw Allan Wasserman in person, the town councilman was manning the polling place in Charles White Park and conversing with a  down-on-his-luck jazz trumpeter who carried his mouthpiece in his pocket.  His horn, he said, was busted — fell out of a car. Wasserman knew a guy in town who could fix it.   Wasserman knows everybody and packs a lot into his day.

Here’s a couple of examples:

On Saturday, the Allan Wasserman Jazz Ensemble will be playing at one of their favorite places, Pinocchio’s, 1449 N. Lake Ave., Pasadena, starting at 8 PM.

And on Mon., June 20,  at 7 PM, he will have a presentation at the Altadena Library called “Designing Your Life.”

Wasserman balances a number of professions besides politician and jazzman: he’s an award-winning writer, a working actor in film and television, and a stock broker.  Come see how he does it all and how you can too.
