Altadena resident Brian Hughes and his band rounded out the month of August at Saturday night’s Sheriff Support Group concert in Farnsworth Park.  (We heard on good authority that Hughes’s fans and neighbors from the Palm Street Area Residents Association showed up in “No School On Palm” red!).  Hughes played a variety of compositions from his long career to the hometown crowd.

The concerts will take a break over Labor Day weekend, and will return for the grand finale Sept. 8 with “The Walking Phoenixes” in a tribute to Johnny Cash (“Joaquin Phoenix,” get it?).
