Got tile?  If you live a Spanish style home or California craftsman you most likely do.  Bungalows, particularly those in the Pasadena/Altadena area feature tile bathrooms, fireplaces, and floors.  Tiles of bright colors reminiscent of old California are splashed across the interiors of Caltech and Mountain View Mausoleum, too. The Adamson house in Malibu, California, now a State Park, maintains the most comprehensive collection of original historic Malibu tile remaining today.
