First: remember that tonight is the Altadena Town & Country Club’s annual fireworks display.  The fireworks start at about 9:30 — please keep your dogs and cats well-secured INDOORS tonight.  Judging by experience, this usually primes the pump for boneheads who have their own illegal fireworks, so expect explosions to be going on in town well through the night.  If he’s an outdoor dog, make him an indoor dog this week.

Having said that, we’ve got a couple of dogs we’re trying to get home:

• “We found a cute puppy in central Altadena.  He’s very young.  A neighbor family might take him if an owner doesn’t appear to claim him soon but we’d rather see that he gets back to his original family.”  818/523-9623

UPDATE: The Shih Tzu — whose name is Lady — went home July 3.  Had a two mile walk.
