Whether you’re Dad or a Daddy,
Otek, Babba, Abbu,
Your special day is today then,
When—we do honor you!
Vader, Buwa, or Otosan,
Tay or Amu or Pa.
Today’s the day when you get a tie,
concert, a hat or a saw!
Young ones think you’re from Olympus,
though teens—often guffaw!
When we get older we see then,
you really deserve that awe!
You love the cartoons that we love,
shared the Three Stooges too!
You taught us to burp and to whistle,
talents are endless with you!
You read and reread that same story,
we loved it more each time!
When we got older we marveled,
your knowledge? Simply sublime!
You’re Pabbi, Daidi, or Patri,
around the world we say.
Love’s the aim—–no matter the name
So—————HAPPY FATHERS DAY!
