The Sue B. Dance Company presents its 21st annual summer dance production this Sunday at Davies Auditorium in Farnsworth Park, beginning at 2:30 PM.
Direcor Sue Black said that this year’s performance, “Fade 2 Black,” tells the story of Maxy Ford, who has gone into the forest to find himself, but gets pulled back by the need of the community to run a telethon to buy back their popcorn maker. The performance will also have videos, commercials, and dancers ranging from age 2 1/2 to adult, including “alumni that started with me when they were very young, but coming back to tap with us,” Black said.
Tickets are $15, and can be pre-purchased at the Sue B. Dance Studio, 2525 N. Lake Ave. For more information, call 626-797-1837.
The Sue B. Dance Studio is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that offers classes to the community, including tap, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, creative movement, acting, hula, and family dance classes. The summer session starts on July 9.
