Mr. Mezo is a Hungarian cellist currently residing in Los Angeles. As the winner of the 2008 international Ima Hogg competition, he was invited to record a CD with the Hungarian label in 2009. The recording features works by David Popper and includes several world premieres. He will be performing this season in Hungary, Japan, Romania and the United States. Mr. Mezo will perform “Pezzo Capriccioso” and “Variations on a Rococo Theme” by Tchaikovsky with the Crown City Symphony.
The orchestra will perform “Pavane” by Faure, with guest conductor, Cynthia Nunes, and “Sigurd Jorsalfar” by Grieg.
Marvin Neumann is the conductor.
The concerts will be held on Sat., May 19, at 2 PM at the Altadena Community Church 943 E. Altadena Drive, Altadena.
