PWeekly’s Andre Coleman reports on recent courtroom developments in the Irsie Henry saga. Henry is the African-American former LAPD cop who has been in trouble for harassing his neighbors, particularly a mixed-race couple. Henry was in court last month, acting has his own attorney in an attempt to show that his neighbor violated a restraining order. Hilarity ensues. Soon to come to a theater near you, starring Samuel L. Jackson — really!

Altadena has a proud history of welcoming inter racial couples back in the 30’s 40’s and 50’s when that was a big deal in America, and even a crime in some states.
It is tragic that we are becoming known nationwide for this former police officer who seems to have made his neighborhood a living hell for folks who just want to live here in peace.
Its hard to believe that he not had a badge he would have ever been able to persist in some of the behavior he has engaged in. Most Civilians could not get away with some of his early behavior. This issue has come ot the Town Council twice over the years, and the LACSD finally took a more vigerous stance, but this whole episode is a blight upon our history.
