Christmas Tree Lane fires up for the 90th time
After being rained out last year, the Winter Festival finally took place in the parking lot of the Altadena Library.
Mike Holland at Robin Goodfellow natural soaps somehow fails to get into the holiday mood.
State Sen. Carol Liu and State Assemblyman Anthony Portantino confer before the festivities begin.
Actor and Altadenan Meschach Taylor acted as master of ceremonies.
Jada Collins Smith leads the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance.
LInda Lane White leads the national anthem.
The combined Blair IB and Muir High School choirs — or “Blur” — start off singing holiday songs.
The Pasadena Waldorf School Sixth Grade Choir singers also perform …
… followed by the Altadena Children’s Choir.
Christmas Tree Lane Association President Maureen Ward thanks the volunteers.

The John Muir High School Alumni Drum Corps leads the parade on Santa Rosa, which is traffic-free for a few hours so people can walk and enjoy the lights.
