Daylight savings time ended today, and we're back on standard time — hope you set your clocks back and got that extra hour of sleep!

As it has been explained to me,
we're back on STANDARD TIME!
Confusion can range round about
some think they'd lost their mind.
So count me in that sad, lost group
who last night changed the time
but woke to find the sunlight out
and thought I'd lost my mind!
This STANDARD TIME, it came from trains.
as clocks each city had.
Within each zone were many times
and schedules were quite bad.
And so that STANDARD TIME was born,
so cities in each zone
had trains which ran on schedule then
and people could get home!
But some of us roll back the clock,
but brains do not incline.
Oh yes, the sun filled hours have changed
from Daylight Saving Time.
How nice that powers so in charge
on Sunday, pave the way.
We have a day to goof it up
and won't be late MONDAY!
