Pasadena police arrested three juveniles in a case where a car stolen in Altadena was went on a hit-and-run spree, followed by a police pursuit.
The vehicle — a blue Pontiac — was reported in three hit-and-run collisions during the course of the day. Police received a call on the final collision at about 3:55 PM, on the 800 block of Sunset Avenue.
According to a press release, officers attempted to stop the vehicle in the area of Pasadena Avenue and Walnut street, but it drove away, triggering a pursuit that took place at “slow to moderate speeds” on city streets. With support from a helicopter, the pursuit ended in the area of Pepper Drive and Sunset Avenue. According to the press release, the driver and two passengers fled the vehicle, but were were apprehended.
