The U.S. Forest Service has awarded two grants to Altadena-based neighborhood fire safety associations.
The Altadena Foothills: Chaney Trail/Millard Canyon Fire Safe Council received a $133,100 grant for fuel reduction. The Meadows Fire Safe Councll was awarded a $158,900 grant for an expanded fire protection project.
