Some cool things happening at local businesses:

• The Altadena Ale & Wine House (Altadenablog sponsor), 2329 N. Fair Oaks, has Steve, a professional sports massage therapist,  providing chair massages from 4-7:30 PM every Tuesday night. First visit is fee, $1/minute after first visit.  Also this Tuesday, Sept. 20, acoustic 90's music at 8 PM.  The Ale House has also added a pizza menu to its food offerings, so do drop by!
• Also this Tuesday, the Pop-Up Restaurant from HM 157 will be at the Coffee Gallery, 2029 N. Lake, offering breakfast from 7-11 AM, and dinner from 7:30-10 PM.  (HM 157 is an historical home in Lincoln Heights, headquarters of an entire scene, but it includes promoting local urban farmers, food activists, community gardens, etc.).  Breakfast includes locally-grown figs and casaba melon plate, brown rice pudding  bar, or homestyle burrito priced from $5-$7.50.  Dinners include raw pumpkin soup, red lentils, spicy greens, rice & chutney plate, classic chard salad, or prix fixe special, anywhere from $5-$15.
• Webster's Fine Stationers (2450 Lake Ave.) is planning "Wines for a Passionate Evening of Poetry" on Sat., Oct. 15, with Anne Bannon and Michael Holland of OddBallGrape.com and local poets Linda Dove and Judith Terzi.  4-8 PM.  Webster's is also partnering with We're very excited to announce HomeBody Botanicals, creating handmade herbal products for face, hair, body and home! Locally produced by Marcia Coppess, who was an exhibitor at Altadena Urban Farmers Market.
