*******

We’re putting this up now, but we have great Bill Westphal pictures after the jump that you absolutely must see.

Bill Westphal, who also had a busy day today, sent us these gorgeous shots of the inside of the mausoleum:

Main gallery5

A shot from the floor of the main gallery.

Rose window

The view from the mezzanine level, where you can really see the arched ceiling.

Bust

This classical bust is an example of many artwork reproductions throughout the mausoleum.

Ceilings

Amazingly intricate detail and filigree abound.

Nativity

The Nativity, part of the saga of Christianity which is the theme of the main gallery’s artwork.

Radiance

The Chapel of Radiance, and count all the reflections of the rose.

Psaltry

Bill snuck this one, of us trying out Gregg Schneeman’s psaltry.  True confession: we first met Gregg and his double-bowed psaltry when we were playing at a hootenanny together in a Sierra Madre bookstore. What’s it to you?

Wish I could have been there but glad to see the photos and video. The stain glass is beautiful.

As for the Flip, if you’re using iMovie, don’t go with the YouTube settings because it makes low resolution video. Create an .m4v and change the extension to .mp4 and upload that to YouTube. You can get more info on iMovie and video settings at freevlog.org.
