Experts at the San Gabriel Valley Mosquito & Vector Control District are reporting an uptick in invasive Asian tiger mosquito activity last week.

 

This mosquito was first identified in the San Gabriel Valley last September.

Another hiker takes the plunge in Eaton Canyon, falling from a ridge near Coyote Canyon this morning and sustaining major injuries (PSN’s Brian Day has details).  Community correspondent Tom Willard sent this picture of the sheriff department’s Air 5 rescue helicopter rising out of Coyote Canyon this morning, taking the hiker to Huntington Hospital.
