The Walmart Neighborhood Market opened its doors today to an enthusiasic crowd in an all-American way:  color guard, national anthem, prayers, speeches by local dignitaries, and a ribbon-cutting — followed by shopping.

The early morning Friday opening of the market was greeted by representatives of the Altadena Town Council,

NASA Television will provide commentary starting at 11 AM. PST on Friday, Feb. 15, during the close, but safe, flyby of a small near-Earth asteroid named 2012 DA14. NASA places a high priority on tracking asteroids and protecting our home planet from them.
