Altadena in 2010 had an increased number of residential burglaries and thefts from vehicles, but a reduction in the rate of violent crime, according to statistics released by the Sheriff’s Station this week. Gang-related crimes have also been going down for the past two years.
In violent crimes, there were no homicides in 2010 (down from one in 2009, and three in 2008), and rates of rape and robbery remained steady.
