Just a suggestion–see if you can get someone who can identify the mix more accurately. Some insurance companies (such as mine) will not cover certain breeds. Last time I looked, it only excluded damages done by these breeds, but originally, they would not even insure the house if I had a pit bull. People are might be leery of taking in a pit bull/Rottweiler mix, no matter how sweet.

Rudy is a mixed mutt…people will see whatever breed they want. I have been told that DNA tests are usually inconclusive & are expensive. I feel he has greyhound in him because of his long legs & his gait pattern. And remember “Pit Bull” itself is not an actual breed but a label for many different bulldog breeds. Recent legislation includes physical characteristics to describe “Pit Bull Type” animals that include over 25 different dog breeds. Research indicates that breed specific legislation is ineffective because it is not the breed of dog that is dangerous; rather, it is unfavorable situations that create dangerous dogs.
