Councilmember Bill Ward, who was only elected in May, resigned last week to take a job out of state. This means whoever takes his seat will sit for almost a full term, until 2015.
According to a release from the Altadena Town Council,applicants must reside within CT 4612 and must have lived within Altadena for at least two years.

Applications and candidate eligibility information are available at the Altadena Community Center, 730 E. Altadena Drive and online a thttp://altadenatowncouncil.org at the “ATC Election, Candidate Package” link along the left side.
Applications must be received at the Community Center by 4:30 PM on Friday, November 8, along with the application fee of $35. All eligible candidates will then be presented to the whole Council and the public at the regular ATC meeting on Tuesday, November 19t, beginning at 7 PM The full council will then vote to fill the vacancy by appointment, as called for in the Council’s Bylaws.
