Afternoon Delight: Five Acres raffle delivers, and Altadenan takes judge’s robes
The Rancho Bar says that the Crosby & Nash/Five Acres Benefit ticket raffle last week netted (besides the $300 for concert tickets) another $400 for Five Acres. Winner of the concert tickets was local rocker Jet Trego, who we’re sure had a good time!
Gail O’Rane, 40, a veteran public defender in capital cases, was appointed by Gov. Jerry Brown to be a judge in the Riverside County Superior Court. The Altadena resident has been a public defender since the year 2000, and was a member of the separate capital defense unit created in 2010. More at the Desert Sun website.
