We’ve gotten several reports from neighbors and the chatter in the newsgroups says that coyotes are on the prowl and are particularly aggressive — several pets have been lost. One of our readers lost her cat to a pack of five coyotes who happened to be in the front yard when the cat decided to go out.

So keep your pets inside and safe as much as you can, particularly at night.
