Summer Nights at the Altadena Farmers’ Market continues today with some of the farmers demonstrating cooking, food preparation, and aquaponic garden techniques by the Great Lawn:
Tentative schedule is:
4:30 – 4:50 / Ja Sakrungrueng, Moua Farms – Cooking Asian Greens: Ongchoy and Yuchoy
5:00 – 5:20 / Scott Henley, Whisper Farms – Aquaponic Gardening
5:30 – 5:50 / Kristy Baltezore, Rice & Beans – Cold Barley Salad
6:00 – 6:20 / Rishi Kumar, The Growing Home – Fresh Herb Tea and Summer Herb Drying
6:30 – 6:50 / Rosa Leon, Pine Street Farms – Purslane Salad
And of course there’s the usual collection of some of the region’s best farmers and vendors. The Altadena Farmers’ Market runs from 4-8 PM Wednesday at 600 W. Palm Street, by the Altadena Community Garden.
