Well, the next big thing — after zombies — appears to be … Vikings!
The Lutheran Church in the Foothills in La Canada Flintridge will be the place as the Edvarg Grieg Lodge of the Sons of Norway present a Midsummer Vikingfest on Saturday, June 22, from 11 AM-4 PM.
Living history demonstrations, battle reenactments, learn Viking skills (drinking from a horn?), and write your name in runes. ‘”Come in garb,” they say.
The event is free at the church, 1711 Foothill Boulevard.
