The fourth annual Altadena Relay for Life takes place tomorrow, Saturday, at the lower ballfield in Farnsworth Park.  Starting at 9 AM, the relay to raise money and awareness for cancer will last 24 hours.

Relay for lifeIf you’re a walker, here’s the list of things you should bring:

  • canopy
  • chairs
  • water
  • jackets, sweatshirts
  • blankets
  • sleeping bags
  • camping tents
  • snacks
  • flashlights
  • toilet paper
  • hand sanitizer
  • sunscreen
  • bug spray
  • hats
  • sunglasses
  • cash
  • games

… and NOT to bring:

  • No alcohol
  • No smoking
  • No pets
  • No dogs unless actual service dogs
  • No vehicles on grass to unload … vehicles are allowed on the dirt infield.

Throughout the day there will be food and entertainment available.  At 9 PM, the walkers will take part in a luminaria walk to remember those whose lives have been touched by cancer.
