The California Shakespeare Ensemble performed “Shakespeare’s LOVERS” in Farnsworth Park Sunday evening. 1. Samantha Sloyan (Olivia) and Kate Siegel (Viola, masquerading as Cesario) in a scene from Twelfth Night; 2. Sloyan (as Kate) and Roddy Jessup (as Petruchio) in a scene from Taming of the Shew; 3. Also from Shrew, Aviva Bauman (Bianca) is fought over by Lucentio (Fred Cross ) and Hortensio (Jessup), both suitors disguised as others.

The California Shakespeare Ensemble, where working actors present bare-bones Bard, begain its spring and summer residency at Farnsworth Park before a small but engaged audience May 12. Theatergoers (and actors!) braved a hot night to look at some of Shakespeare’s greatest love scenes. The ensemble will return to the park on June 16.
