Jamie Bissner writes that he’s (or rather, his dog) found a 4 1/2 in. in diameter red-eared slider on the 2200 block of Maiden Lane midway to Norwic Place. As these are non-native (in fact invasive) and riparian (i.e. river-dwelling), and fast-moving for a turtle, this is probably somebody’s errant pet.
UPDATE: It was — he’s gone home now.
