The Altadena Historical Society received a $500 gift from the Altadena Community Chest this week, according to AHS President Jane Brackman.
The Community Chest is a non-profit organization created by Russ Fega to collect voluntary donations, specifically from production companies that film in Altadena. Accumulated funds are dispersed to organizations and civic activities that directly benefit the citizens of Altadena. Grants have gone to such organizations as the Altadena Library, Altadena Heritage, Altadena Elementary School, the Altadena Sherrif’s Station, Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy, Five Acres, and Young & Healthy.
