MonteCedro spreads holiday cheer to local business patrons
by TImothy Rutt
MonteCedro, the planned Altadena retirement community, will be spreading some holiday cheer from now until Dec. 5.
The MonteCedro “Good Deeds Gal” will be visiting local businesses and picking up the tab for random customers. The push started yesterday, with “Good Deeds Gal” Jenny Buchanan surprising patrons at such places as Super King grocers and Fox’s Restaurant with gift certificates.
Lois Bascom, a teacher at St. Mark’s School, was surprised Wednesday at Webster’s Community Pharmacy with a gift certificate.
The “Good Deeds Gal” will show up at various locations once a week until Dec. 5. MonteCedro will also be making a $1,000 donation to a local non-profit organization.
