We will survive: blegging for your disaster photos for Altadena’s birthday bash

We’ll repeat more time: “blegging” is begging on a blog.

We’ve been sweet-talked into being a sponsor for the Altadena birthday celebration at Farnsworth Park on Nov. 3, and we want to do an historical display on natural disasters in the area.

Naturally, we’ll focus on the Station Fire of 2009 and the Windstorm of 2011.  But we’re interested, too, in how Altadena fared with other natural disasters (such as the Northridge Quake of 1994 and the Altadena fire of 1993).

So we’re trolling for pictures of Altadena in the aftermath of all these and other disasters that you may have in your collection.  We have some, of course, but we’re looking for pictures that  you may want to share.

The chosen pictures (properly credited, of course) will be part of the display we are preparing for the celebration. Altadenans are survivors, and we want to celebrate that!
