And last night, our correspondents tell us that Loma Alta was barricaded last night between Glenrose and Olive — man with a gun, apparently brought home a woman and things went south — we'll get more details as we can, but SCHOOL IS OVER FOR A WEEK and we're got two kids to amuse all day …

Update 4 PM:  Got lots of messages from concerned neighbors about last night's closure of Alta Loma regarding the "man with the gun" incident — but you wouldn't know it to talk to the sheriff's station.  They've been playing "I don't know anything but let me refer you to someone who isn't here" everytime we've called since last night.  We're trying, we really are.

Uptdate 9 PM: Ok, so we interchange Loma Alta and Alta Loma.  We used to work in western Colorado where there was a town called Loma, so we get confused easily.  Is it too early to get a senior discount?
