PSN has a sketchy about a shooting on the 2200 block of Glenrose Wednesday night at about 8:45 — six rounds were fired at a young man who was hit on the heel. Dunno if this is the same incident that the sheriff's office won't talk to us about — the details are different, and we first heard about it thru emails from people in the neighborhood, and some of these were timestamped at around 7:30. Curiouser and curiouser.

Strange that the sheriffs would state that the shooting happened at about 8:45pm. We were on the 2300 block of Glenrose, and clearly heard the shooting and saw the aftereffects. The shooting was at about 10:15 or 10:20pm! Immediately following the shooting, sheriffs travelled at a high rate of speed down Glenrose (dangerous, since it’s *very* parked up, especially in the evenings!), paused, and then it sounded as if they travelled down Fair Oaks. Others (paramedics and sheriffs) came and parked at the corner of Crosby and Glenrose, more on Crosby than Glenrose. After about 15-20 mins, one of the sheriff’s helicopters circled over the 2300 block of Glenrose for about 20 mins, then went away.
My observation about many of the gang-related acts of violence in this neighborhood, is that the guys use bikes to move quickly and silently wherever they want to. They are very fast on them, and can travel through alleys and backyards easily. It’s just my guess, but I’d bet that’s how the shooter approached the victim, and how the shooter got away so quickly and apparently easily.
