Approximately one year ago my son was playing in a Pasadena Trojan’s football game at the PHS field, and a white commercial jet without any markings flew over so low that all of the spectators thought that it was in trouble.

Maybe someone around here owns a jet and just wants to cruise over the neighborhood and scare all of us?

I saw (and heard) the plane on Wed morning too, as we were finishing a hike in Millard Canyon. I have a picture, but it was too far away to see much. I agree that was lower than normal and an odd place for a transport plane to be (not any of the IFR routes I know in that area).

I couldn’t make out any markings. 1500 AGL would be legal, but strange.

The FAA would have to know where it came from. Radar coverage in that area goes pretty low and you can’t just take off from anywhere with a plane that size.

I saw it too — and wondered if it was some kind of Edwards AFB-related exercise or pre-July 4 flyover practice. Quite curious to know what it was.

It’s good to know that I wasn’t seeing things!
