UPDATE 10:30 AM

The prospect of returning the power anytime soon looks pretty dismal right now:  go to  Edison's outage map here and plug in zip code 91001 to see what it looks like — they're working on it, but nobody's promising when power will be restored.

No reports of any power restoration yet, altho' we're hitting some of Edison's self-reported restoration times.  Let us know if your power comes back on.

Per our community correspondant P. Goeders, power was restored above E. Loma Alta Drive in and around Fair Oaks about 6 PM last night.  In addition, she has a good idea for comments:  which gas stations are open?  (The Lake Ave. ARCO is a dead letter). We do need gas!
