National Weather Service has put out several warnings this morning for Los Angeles and other counties: another surge of "potentially damaging" winds is expected today, expected to increase late tonight and early Tues. morning.  A high wind warning remains in effect through 3 PM Tuesday, with northwest winds increasing from 25-40 MPH with gusts to 60 MPH late this morning, expected to increase late in the day and early Tuesday.  

They warn that "winds may knock down trees and power lines and cause unsecured objects to be blown around."  Well!

A red flag warning is in effect for much of Los Angeles and Ventura counties for gusty winds and low humidities, increasing fire danger.  Strong, possibly damaging winds are expected to occur in the mountains.

And it will be cold: a cold and dry airmass and clear skies each night will allow for further cooling, with very cold overnight tempratures predicted through Wednesday.
