Celebrate Teen Read Week (TRW) at the Altadena Library. This year’s theme. “Picture It! @ Your Library,” will give teens the opportunity to express themselves as we highlight visual media and books with a visual media theme. Teen Read Week at the Altadena Library is October 16-22, 2011.
Re-Picture It! Design a new cover for your favorite YA book. The Top 5 covers will be displayed at the library and the winning cover will re-cover the Altadena Library District’s copy of that YA book. Pick up a Re-Picture it form/template at the Children’s Services Desk!
Picture Me Dancing!: We are having a Just Dance, Dance Challenge. Bring your best moves to the Library (and your Wii Remote if you have one). There’ll be prizes for our first, second, and third place dance champions. See you,Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 4PM in the Community Room.
My Picture Tells a Story: Create a personalized bookmark with your fabulous picture! We’ll create a photo-booth picture strip that you can make into a fun bookmark on Thursday, October 20 @ 4PM in the Community Room.
Picture it! The life of a Professional Photographer: Professional Photographer and Art Center Alumni/Faculty Member Dana Hursey will discuss his life as a professional photographer. He’ll share his experiences, his process and perspective on photography. Join us for an insightful program on Sat., October 22 at 3PM in the Community Room.
