Save the date: the next meeting of ACONA (Altadena Coalition of Neighborhood Associations) is Tues., Nov. 1, from 7-8:30 PM.

Topics include:

• Athens Waste: get your questions ready — progress report, and what can be recycled.
• County Public Works: trash in Altadena: how do you get your neighbor to clean up.  Weeds, leaves, dry brush: who do we contact?
• Forming a Neighborhood Watch: how do you do it?

The meeting will be held at the Altadena Main Library, 600 E. Mariposa St., in the Community Room.
