Jamie Bissner emails us that his neighbor at the 2200 block of Maiden Lane went out for a smoke at about 2 AM Tues., July 5, and “made eye contact with a big cat laying in the garden at his door step. The cougar then shot up the palm tree eight feet away, thought better and ran off. About 100 pounds he figures.”

This is not too far from Coyote Central, at the corner of Maiden Lane and Mendocino, where reports of three dogs have been killed by coyotes in recent weeks..  It’s getting to be a jungle out there.
