Returning to normal: Angeles Crest Highway opens today
Angeles Crest Highway opened to the public today for the first time since the 2009 Station Fire. Thanks to community correspondent Steve Gerow, who was there to take some photos of this important milestone as we head toward something resembling normal. More photos after the jump.
Pedestrians walk on the Angeles Crest Highway before the vehicles take over.
The media was in force for the ceremony to mark a return to some post-fire normalcy.
Steve also tells us that the closure at Islip Saddle is slated to open today at noon.
