Magical, musical, heart-felt Saturday night in Altadena [UPDATED]
“Big Night Out” donors have a chance to eat a gourmet dinner at one of many beautiful homes in the Pasadena/Altadena/San Marino area. Here, patrons dine in the Altadena garden of Jill Barnes’ Spanish stlyle home as the mariachis play.

Eric Politzer shares some pictures from “A Night at the Kasbah” event for the “Big Night Out.” The venues and atmospheres were different, but good food was a constant — in this case, a mideast feast.

Meanwhile, the Coffee Gallery Backstage held a late night showcase of upcoming young magicians. Here, magician Arthur Trace levitates a paper flower …
… just before turning it into its true form. Producer John Heinsen hopes to have a young magician’s showcase at the Coffee Gallery every month.
