The 29th annual Black History Parade and Festival kicked off this morning from Charles White Park in Altadena and made its way down Fair Oaks to Robinson Park in Pasadena. The skies cleared up long enough to make it a great time to be outside. More pictures after the jump.

… including the new model sheriff’s vehicle (probably not much good in a pursuit).

… the Wells Fargo wagon …
State Sen. Carol Liu eschewed any vehicle at all …
Some opted to start with prayer.
Pasadena City Councilman Chris Holden wasn’t bugged by his vehicle.
