Get up early tomorrow (Dec. 1) and join the president of the Tournament of Roses and the Rose Queen and Court as they walk the Rose Bowl at 7:30 AM. The event will be sponsored by Up and Moving, an organization that tries to get people up and out to enjoy the beauty and health of walking 3.6 miles around the Bowl and Golf Course to improve conditioning and synergy amoung the participants. There will be a drawing for prizes and t-shirts. No admission fee.
- The Pasadena Museum of History is continuing its look at the Edwardian world of Eva Feynes with “Behave Yourself” at the Altadena Town & Country Club on Jan. 27. Walter and Sheila Nelson will present a program about what constituted proper behavior at the start of the early 20th century. Cost is $45 for museum members, $50 for non-members, more info at http://www.pasadenahistory.org
- Our friend Colleen Dunn Bates at Hometown Pasadena has a nice feature on tennis legend’s Stan Smith’s recent visit to his old stomping grounds, the Town and Country Club (we presume his manners were impeccable).
