Altadena Schools submitted over 7,100 signatures on a petition to start the process of secession, and the county rejected almost 2,000 of them. Altadena Schools requested a chance to audit the disputed signatures in a Nov. 8 letter to the county, and accused county officials of stalling the process in a statement released Tuesday.
