• Drought-ready gardening: The Foothill Municipal Water District will hold a class on California-friendly plants at the Altadena Community Center, 730 E. Altadena Dr., from 9 AM-12:30 PM.  Space is limited and reservations are suggested.  For more information, call (818) 790-4036.
• The Rancho Bar presents “Better Than Blue”  (rock, soul, blues) with Felicia Bright, vocals – Danny Hesse, guitar & vocals, Mike Stover, bass & vocals.   9 PM-1 AM,  21 and over, never a cover charge, full bar.

Sun., Sept. 19

• The Music of India at The Folly Bowl, 1601 E. Loma Alta Drive, 6 PM. Admission is $15 donation, $5 only for students.  Performers are  Jagan Ramamoorthy ( violin) , Paul Livingstone (sitar), and Subhajyoti Guha (tabla).You may bring a picnic, pillow and blanket. Please take your trash with you. We have wildlife in the garden!
