Altadena sheriffs have a male and female in custody following a neighbor’s report of a burglary in progress on Marathon St. this afternoon.

Sheriff Lt. Sheila Sanchez said that an alert neighbor telephoned in a report of suspicious activities at the residence, “which led deputies to intercept burglars in the act of their crime.”

One suspect was caught immediately and the other contained in the perimeter set up by deputies and subsequently arrested.

Sanchez said that no information was available yet as to the suspects’ ages and identities, some property was recovered, and the investigation is ongoing.
