It was another active day in the skies above Sonoma Drive, Altadena, honoring the veterans of our great country on this most beautiful Memorial Day 2010.![]()
A very low flyby of fine WWII warbirds in various stripes and colors in a 7 plane formation got the residents of Sonoma Drive into the streets late this morning.
Kids and adults came running out of their front doors to view the exciting 3 low passes right down the middle of the street. Just a short time later the low rumble of another more modern flyby got them out of the house once again to see a rare very low pass of an Air Force C-17 from March AFB come in at no more than 500 feet above the trees for another Memorial Day treat.
