Basis of Our Grounds – Artwork by Nicole Fournier
Opening Reception will be held Saturday, May 8, 2010 from 6-8pm
Nicole’s work is fundamentally about growth, awareness, and overcoming obstacles. Her artwork is a combination of digital photography and an ancient wax painting technique called encaustics. The work depicts moody environments showcasing flora and fauna. They are beautifully fragile, yet portray a sense of strength and caution. Nicole’s work reflects her own personal interest in showing how important it is for people to continue to monitor our impact on the environment.
